What to expect

Go on a trip far away from the crowds and discover untouched nature in the Czech Republic. This 3 days snowshoeing trip lets you explore the Krkonoše Mountains and hike up to Czechias highest mountain – the Sněžka. Enjoy beautiful panoramic views, amazing sunsets and sunrises and the warmths of a cosy mountain hut. Forget about your everyday problems and recharge in pure outdoors.

ITINERARY

You will be picked up by the guide at your hotel in Prague at 08.30 o’clock, meet your team members and drive to Špindlerův mlýn (2,5 hours ride). There, you’ll have a introduction to snowshoes and shortly visit the mountain village Špindlerův mlýn for lunch. Afterwards, your first hike (9 km) to the main ridge of the Krkonoše mountains starts – on the border with Poland. Finish the day with a nice dinner in your mountain hut for today.

After breakfast you’ll leave the hut and hike on the main Krkonoše ridge with an amazing view of the highest mountain of the
Czech republic – Sněžka 1603m. You’ll enjoy a small lunch along the way and walk a total of 16 km in this beautiful and quiet area. Tonight you’ll stay in a classic mountain hut very close to Sněžka and enjoy dinner in the hut.

Wake up very early to see the sunrise on the top of Sněžka (1.603 m) – all Czechs (should) do this at least once in their life. Take in the beauty and silence of this astounding surroundings before descending to Špindlerův mlýn. Here, you’ll finish you trip with a nice lunch and mulled wine before you taken back to Prague.

FAQ's

Which skills do I need?

The only thing you need is to have a reasonable level of fitness to handle our adventures. You really don’t need any prior skills or experience. Your guide will give you full instructions and a safety briefing at the beginning. Bring along a sense for adventure and be up to learn new things and you’re ready for the experience of a lifetime.

Who goes on outdoor trips?

Our trips run in groups of max. 8 people and accommodate solo travellers as well as small groups of 2 or 3. We bring together like-minded fellows that are all in for the same reason: to escape the city for the great outdoors, to meet new people & to experience something new and unique.

Can I book on my own?

YES, you can! It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and share experiences you’ll never forget.

Do I need my own equipment?

NO, all our trips include the necessary equipment like ropes, crampons, ice axes, mountainbikes, kayaks etc. All have to bring along is your backpack with basics like clothes, toiletries, camera… But don’t worry – we’ll provide you with a detailed packing list before you go.
