Exploring Moroccos Sahara desert

The trip was great, nice guides, amazing views, simply a fantastic experience. All highly recommended. Extremely kind and helpful people! Fantastic and unique experience. Tasteful and plenty of food to go around. Endless fun during the night playing music with the local Berbers under a sky lit with 1000 stars!

Trekking the Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek with CHALLENGE8 was absolutely worth it – it was so nice and beautiful there in the mountains, plus the nature, the organization, the support and the guide were really good. Everything went really well. We’re also up for more trips now. Honestly, thank you very much again, we had a really cool trip, and it really makes me wanna go again. This is of course an experience that we’ll never forget.

Climbing Zugspitze in Germany

Climbing up the Zugspitze with CHALLENGE8 was really nice and fun! The group, the mountain guide, the weather was great and the hike – it really was fantastic! I am happy that you made this possible and it was the right decision to go! You can’t choose the group yourself before, but it was a real hit here, honestly! We all got along very well right away, had a lot of fun – that made the ascent to the top of Zugspitze way easier for all of us. (especially the last part over the gravel). Reaching the summit cross was really such a great feeling, after all the efforts 😃

Climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania

It was a really cool experience, exactly what we were looking for. Standing on top of Kilimanjaro was such an amazing feeling – completely full of euphoria and adrenalin. All the pain of the prior days is completely gone up there and we were so proud of ourselves that we made it. It was totally worth the effort. It’s very exciting that the environment changes every day, as you walk up through different terrain. Before the trip, the team of CHALLENGE8 sent us preparation tips, packing lists, Visa information and made sure everything works out and we have everything with us. All in all it was a really, really cool experience!

Hiking in Torres del Paine

Trekking in Torres del Paine National Park was incredible. The landscape is simply breathtaking, wonderful, unique, to fall in love with… We went on an off-the beaten trek because we thought otherwise the crowds of people on the paths and overnight places would reduce the positive impressions. It’s worth to partly skip the famous parts and spend several days further in the National park. Like this, one does not meet many other tourists the whole day which made our trekking experience so rewarding and unique.

Trekking the Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek with CHALLENGE8 was amazing. The views in the Himalaya are just incredible. Although I couldn’t go all the way up to Everest base camp it was perfect. I couldn’t ask for something else. Yeah, I was just unlucky. My guide was very nice, very helpful and a great guy. The group was small which was good and with very nice people – so it was a lot of fun. I’d definitely do it again.

Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia

Absolutely stunning and beautiful – we were all just speechless! What a great experience – you forget everything around you. We have seen many highlights on our travels but for a place like the Salar de Uyuni there are no words – you have to see it! The highlight from my point of view is mainly the incredible nature. Here you are usually always alone – whether in the salt desert (nobody for miles around) or at the lagoons. Though, it’s important that you go with a company that takes you away from all the tourist spots. Thanks to CHALLENGE8 we were on the road in a great small group with a true local and 2 more people – this gave us lots of flexibility to explore the things we wanted to.

Trekking to the Ciudad Perdida

Hiking to the Lost City / Ciudad Perdida was one of the best things I’ve ever done. Yes, it’s not a walk in the park with the heat, humidity and the constant uphill and downhill sections – BUT it’s absolutely worth it and can be done if you are in a solid condition. The days in the jungle were a real experience with incredible and untouched nature. The beauty of the region, the friendliness of the people, and the team spirit with the people you meet will make you forget every pain, every stench and every mosquito bite. The organisation was perfect and the local guides were great, always in a good mood, giving lots of information and very helpful!

I can only recommend it to everybody, it’s an incredible experience.

Climbing the Carstensz Pyramid in Papua New Guinea

After climbing several mountains and going to many unexplored places around the world we wanted to climb the most remote mountain of the Seven Summits. Travelling to remote and really non-touristic areas like Papua is quite difficult, the conditions are harsh and there is no comfort at all. CHALLENGE8 helped us organise and prepare for the trip and off we went. Unfortunately, we couldn’t quite pursue the climb due to local riots. Nevertheless, our local guide replanned and we went to meet the indigenious people in the jungle that haven’t seen any white people before. What an experience.

Trekking the Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The hike to Annapurna Base Camp was not like anything I’ve tried before. You are pulled completely out of your everyday life and into this new, foreign world with barely any mobile service. It is weird in the beginning but after a couple of days I was completely relaxed and my head was so free and clear. We managed to make it to the base camp way faster in only 7 days and it was such a rewarding feeling. But, we had some spare days and wanted to challenge ourselves even further. So we decided to walk as far as the path would take us after reaching ABC. We managed to reach an altitude of 5.300 metres before the path ended. Being in such high altitude was such an incredible experience and we definitely felt our bodies working now at their highest possible level. It was the trip of a lifetime and even though we walked 30.000-50.000 steps a day I found myself more relaxed than ever! I’d definitely recommend it to everyone: Take two weeks and really reconnect with yourself and nature!
